CLIP A
EASY, EASY, EASY....Place your clip on the back of your project. Once you have it in the place you want, mark a line at the top and at the bottom of the clip. Using small pair of scissors, cut on these two lines so you'll have two small slits. If the fabric has a tendency to ravel you might want to apply a little fray check, etc., but normally that's not necessary. Simply insert your clip and you're finished.
When inserting the top part of the clip, especially if using a can koozie, I found it easier to fold the koozie at the slit and insert the top part that way. To insert the bottom half of the clip I turned it upside down and did the same thing. Seems a little tricky at first because the koozie is foam and doesn't slide that much but it does make for a very secure clip because it's secure at the top and bottom. Make sure you have your clip going in the right direction. Once you do one they go on really fast.

You prepare your project for Clip B the same as Clip A - 2 small slits. The difference in Clip A and Clip B is the insertion of the clip. Please take your own measurements, but what worked for me was 2 clips 3/4" and 1 3/4" apart. Mark your lines for your slits and using small scissors cut on those lines.
Once you cut your slits, insert the bottom part of your clip first, pushing it through the bottom slit, pushing it all the way through.
From the back side insert the top part of your clip through the top slit.
Push the part coming from the back into the clamp on the front and squeeze together until tight.
THAT'S IT!!!!

If you find these directions AS CLEAR AS MUD, Reen at embroiderygarden.com has directions for this particular clamp on her site which may be clearer. She uses this type clip on her cell phone cases made from the koozies. She also has directions for these on her site. You might want to check it out.
