OH, SO EASY!!!! This baby cup has three parts - outer acrylic cylinder (where your insert goes), inside cup and the top. To snap the top on push down until you hear a snap. I found it easier to use the palm of my hand. Since the top is what holds it together it is so easy to change the inserts. Your insert measures approximately 7 1/2" by 3 1/4". If doing machine embroidery I would not cut it out until after embroidery is done because it could draw your fabric up a bit. Once insert was prepared I used iron on interfacing on the back to give it a little body and to keep edges of fabric from fraying. You could also simply iron on a piece of freezer paper to give it some body. Then cut it out. Insert it into the outside cylinder. You can have the edges butt together or overlap slightly. I put a very small piece of tape on inside to keep the edges together. Insert the inner cup, place the cap on and press it in place.
The insert I used in this sample is simply a small piece of fabric
Need a really quick baby gift? Check your stash for appropriate baby fabric, make your cup insert and using same fabric make an applique on a bib, ready made or hand made. Make up a baby basket with cup, bib, couple receiving blankets, etc. If selling at a craft show you could simply have all your inserts stacked up and let your customers pick what they want rather than having 50 or so made up cups.
Insert is literally a scrap, approximately 7 1/2" by 3 1/4". Insert can be anything you want:
PLAIN FABRIC
MACHINE EMBROIDERY
WRAPPING PAPER
WALL PAPER
PHOTO
FABRIC OR PAPER STAMPED WITH RUBBER STAMP, etc.
SNAP CUPS - TOPS ARE SEPARATE
You have 2 pieces for this snap cup, 3 if you purchase the top. Use the same directions for these as for the baby cup. The insert is approximately 9 1/2" by 3 1/2". Unlike the baby cup where the lid holds the pieces together, on the snap cup the inside cup has a lip on it that you push down into the outside acrylic. Push down hard to get it in place. The top of the outer cup actually looks like you'd screw it on but you don't, just push hard. You obviously wouldn't want to be drinking hot chocolate, etc, out of it and have the insert fall our. The inner cup can be removed to change the insert HOWEVER it is difficult to do, but it can be done. I learned the hard way when making some samples up. I don't think I'd make extra inserts for these because you really want it to snap tight and it's really hard to take apart once it's put together. Lids are sold separately for these and don't think you really need them for adults, I'm purchasing the lids for my 4 year old granddaughter and telling her it's not a baby cup but a big girl cup and the lid keeps her hot chocolate hot!!!! In fact if I'm using one in my sewing room think I'll opt for the lid also!!!!
The sports bottle actually has 4 parts, the top with the straw, inner cup, outer cup where your insert goes and bottom. Because the top actually screws into the inner cup, and the inner cup then screws into the outer portion, you're definitely able to make up interchangeable inserts for this one. Insert for the sports bottle is not quite 10 3/4" by 4". approximately. Once your insert is ready, place it inside the outer acrylic cup. Put your inner cup inside that and screw on. Put on your top and screw it in. The bottom is actually a little compartment where you could put a key, couple of dollars, or even a handful of your favorite quick snack like Hershey Kisses!!!! It simply screws into the outer cup.

DRINKWARE, COASTERS AND MIRROR COMPACTS

NONE OF THE DRINKWARE IS MICROWAVE OR DISHWASHER SAFE!!!!
All of these are so QUICK AND EASY, you won't believe that you can put together a gift in such a short time, or a special order for a customer. Not to mention all you need is a scrap of material.
TRAVEL MUG
The travel mug is 3 pieces and goes together like the Sports Bottle except that the top snaps on and does not screw on. Since the inner cup screws into the outer acrylic cup it is very easy to make interchangeable inserts. Unlike the other drinkware this mug is tappered at the bottom so your final insert is not a rectangle. More of a curve at the top and bottom like you'd see on a coffee wrap. If you're doing machine embroidery for this one you'll want to cut a templace and mark lines so that your designs are actually straight once you insert the insert. I'd start with a piece of fabric about 10" by 6 1/2" and trace the pattern of the insert shape.
COASTER
Coaster has two pieces. The acrylic coaster and a circle of cork. The insert for this is slightless less than 3". I think it's actually 2 and 32/33. I have yet to figure why they didn't make it exactly 3". I'd simply use the cork, trace around it and cut on the inside of the line. Once your insert is done you simply place it in the coaster, top it with the cork and press down on the cork. The cork goes in rather tight. I have made different inserts for the coasters and the cork can be removed but do so carefully since you don't want to destroy the cork. I used a small blunt knife and just kind of pried one side up and it came right out. Guess I need to find a source for replacement cork!!!!
The mirror compact is put together pretty much like the coaster. Insert area for the compact is approximately 2 1/2"
